I was never the biggest fan of cats. In fact, I never thought I would have one until I found Bagheera crawling across Oxford road last year November.
I was thankful to have not driven over him for I almost did. My first instinct was to take him home and have him fed. To be honest, I was petrified of this feral cat and the feeling was mutual. After some fussing with friendly neighbors, being hauled by other cat ladies offering to take him and a lengthy discussion with my family’s Veterinarian I had some thinking to do. We went home, he cried for me, stuck onto me like glue and napped on my lap – and it was decided. He needed me and I needed him too. Since then, I have been thoughtful whether or not to add an addition to our happy home. I was hesitant I could not love another as much as I love Bagheera. I knew that a new little fella would not be for me but for Bags.
One week has passed and we are both deeply in love with our Blue.
